Join Our Team!

Adaptive Strategies North Queensland is the largest psychological service provider in the Whitsundays. Nevertheless, we remain a growing company seeking qualified clinicians to join our team.

Leaving the hustle and bustle of the city behind means goodbye to peak-hour traffic, packed pathways, and a fast-paced life. For individuals and families, a sea change can bring a slower, calmer lifestyle and potentially help them achieve a better work-life balance. There is no better place to balance work and play than the Whitsundays, in tropical North Queensland.

As an ASNQ Psychologist, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse regional population of clients with a variety of presenting issues. As part of the role, the candidate may provide individual psychotherapy, telehealth-based psychotherapy, and group therapy, as well as workshops and seminars. Additionally, the role may require the ability to assess cognitive and neurodevelopmental abilities.

While we pride ourselves on client care, as a practice we believe that we achieve that through supporting our clinicians both personally and professionally.  We provide many benefits to our employees, including.

  • Competitive remuneration
  • Reasonable KPIs that allow you to do your best work.
  • Opportunities for varied work (can reduce clinical load to undertake other projects)
  • A strong and nurturing team environment
  • Beautiful, purpose designed premises.
  • Social activities
  • Support for Clinical Supervision and CPT scholarships
  • For Clinical Registrars – a full training program with regular supervision from experienced supervisors and CPD, tailored specifically to registrars.
  • Potential opportunity to work with Dr Lane in his research endeavours.
